About Ahlberg Law

Ahlberg Law is an employment law firm representing employees navigating some of the most difficult moments of their professional lives, from losing a job to facing unfair treatment in the workplace. The firm is grounded in a simple principle: clients deserve an advocate who takes the time to understand the facts, provides honest counsel, and secures justice and compensation efficiently.

Brothers Ryan and Braden Ahlberg bring different experiences and perspectives to their work, but share a commitment to helping employees understand their rights and make informed decisions about what comes next. They believe effective employment law is about understanding the facts of each case, weighing the risks and benefits of different actions, and finding the approach that makes sense for each client.

Ryan H. Ahlberg

Founder & Employment Attorney

Ryan founded Ahlberg Law with the goal of building a practice focused on the type of work he finds most meaningful: helping people who have been treated unfairly at work. Early in his career as a general practice attorney, Ryan was particularly drawn to clients who had lost their jobs or were facing difficult circumstances with their employers. He saw an opportunity to give employees a stronger voice and knew this was where he wanted to focus his practice.

Ryan approaches each case analytically and objectively. He believes clients deserve the same straightforward, honest advice he would give to a member of his own family. While trial lawyers may naturally gravitate toward litigation, Ryan understands that a trial is not always the best path. His goal is to give clients the information and perspective they need to make the decision that is right for them, rather than simply pursuing what is best for his firm. With this approach, Ryan has taken on many cases in his career that other firms would not.

Ryan earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2003 and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota in 2006. He is admitted to practice law in Minnesota (2006), U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota (2007), Florida (2015), and U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida (2022).

When he’s not practicing law, Ryan enjoys golf, skiing, water sports, and traveling with his wife and son.

Braden D. Ahlberg

Employment Attorney

Braden came to employment law after working in a variety of industries before attending law school. Those experiences gave him the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds, a part of his professional life he continues to value as an employment attorney. For Braden, employment law is meaningful because clients often come to him after something difficult has happened at work, and he can help them get back on their feet.

Braden believes every client deserves honest communication. He works with clients at their own pace, understands what matters most to them, and looks for creative solutions to their legal problems. He recognizes that there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer, and that the best result often begins with taking the time to fully understand the person and circumstances behind the legal issue.

Braden earned his B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 2009 and his J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2020. He is admitted to practice law in Minnesota (2020) and the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota (2021). Joining his brother at Ahlberg Law was a natural fit; Ryan and Braden have always worked well together, and this presented an opportunity to amplify what they could accomplish.

Braden spends his time outside the office skiing, fishing, camping, golfing, and kite surfing. His rescue dog, Ernie, is never far behind.
